Enter Sandman: 6 classic rock songs that make disturbing lullabyes

For the record, I think the idea of recording lullabye versions of classic rock songs — as the good people over at Rockabye Baby are currently doing — is an acceptable one. (Lord knows these guys have signed away their ‘gems’ for far less wholesome uses over the years.) But more than a few of the tracks selected across the series’ 20+ volumes, which run the gamut from The Ramones to Bjork, come off as rather creepy choices for tucking in baby. (Hey, at least they didn’t make a twinkly music-box version of ‘Rape Me’!)

Judge for youself…

Led Zeppelin — “Kashmir”

Pink Floyd — “Hey You”

Radiohead — “Paranoid Android”

The Pixies — “Where Is My Mind?”

U2 — “One” (Not a scary song per say… I just don’t think you should raise your kid on U2 if you can help it.)

Nirvana — “Lithium” (By far the creepiest!)
